Courtney Sheets practices Integrative Asian Bodywork, a combination of Zen Shiatsu and Thai Massage; she is a certified Zen Shiatsu practitioner with over 1000 hours of education and 15 years of practice.  Courtney’s innate curiosity of the mind-body connection began at a young age leading her to obtain a B.A. in Psychology at Purdue University and a Graduate degree in Women’s Studies (with an emphasis on spiritual practices and religious traditions) from New College of California.  She embarked on her studies of yoga and meditation over 20 years ago.

Miss Sheets also completed a 200 hr Sound Therapy certification. The coursework focused on the effects of sound, music and vibration in the enhancement of human function and consciousness. Following this, she collaborated and worked with the inventor Taiz on the Sensorium, a sensory rich experience that transmits music and vibration (vibro-acoustics) to the body.  The Sensorium was spotlighted in the Wall Street Journal and has been a featured service at Miraval Resort in Tucson, AZ.

Courtney graduated from a 600 hr program in natural esthetics at the Aveda Institute of Soho, and practices natural facial rejuvenation and skincare. She is a NYS licensed esthetician. Her philosophy towards beauty is inspired by Ayurvedic medicine and she believes in utilizing plants and botanicals to their fullest, as well as working through one’s internal ecology to achieve outer radiance.  Courtney has worked with clients in Tucson, Denver, San Francisco, NYC and the Boston area. She is now sharing her work at residencies in Denver, San Francisco/Bay Area and the Boston area. Please contact her at 929-215-1061 or beeadorned@gmail.com to schedule a shiatsu.
